The gap is small on the page, and it has one big cause

The same money, to scale

Zoomed in on the Ember sliver. The scale below starts again at R0, with a line every R1M.

Where the comes from

FY2026 = 1 March 2025 to 28 February 2026. All amounts include VAT. The bridge adds up to the gap to the nearest rand.

Each step keeps only the part of the R3.42M that is still unexplained. Click a step to see what is behind it.

How old is it?

Every account-customer invoice still unpaid on 30 September 2026, from any year (FY2025 to FY2027), by days since the invoice date. Credit notes are netted off.

The trade counter costs you twice

FY2026, all customers. Discount is a share of the price before discount; margin is gross profit over sales excluding VAT. The margin scale starts at 30%. Unpaid is the account-customer money by channel.

Tills against bank, month by month

Over two years the two lines travel together. A gap this small hides in plain sight, which is how R3.6M goes missing.
